Cape York Freedom Adventure Charters ~ Now Taking Bookings

Cape York Freedom Adventure Charters is a new business starting in Weipa in 2018. Offering luxury expeditions aboard a 19.2m power catamaran Freedom IV, our vision is to deliver superior customer service and experience on fishing, scuba diving and research and development charters.

Owned and operated by Karl Read and Elaine Agale, Cape York Freedom Adventure Charters are targeting the high end of the market with mother shipping charter adventures.

The vessel will be based in Weipa, cruising the waters across the Gulf and around the Cape York Peninsula region, including the Torres Straits. It also has the capacity to visit the remote Kimberley region and waters.

Karl and Elaine are long-term residents of Weipa. They offer guests the benefit of more than 50 years combined knowledge of this region.

Freedom IV is in current 2B survey allowing up to 8 guests on board, touring up to 200 nautical miles out to sea. She also has 2C survey, allowing 14 people on day trips.

The boat is current in Cairns, undertaking some refit and refurbishment works. She will soon relocate to her home port of Weipa and commences charter operations in June 2018. We are now taking bookings and enquiries.
