WHAT WE CATCH

Big fish mostly, throwing in some massive crays for good measure. We’re talking the iconic barramundi, as big as you like, mangrove jacks, threadfin salmon, dog tooth and mackerel tuna, milk bone, permit fish, coral trout, red emperor, billfish, sailfish, tarpon, barracuda, cobia, marlin, jewfish, lots of cod, gropers, sweetlips, nannygai and more. Species vary, pending season.

WHAT YOU NEED

To bring your A-Game and sense of adventure. We provide an extensive array of quality rods, reels and tackle but you’re welcome to bring your own rig too. Quality sun protection is a must up here, so when you’re packing think long sleeved shirts and wide brimmed hats. We’ve got the linen and towels covered, so just bring your clothes and don’t forget your camera. Let’s make some memories.

WE PROVIDE

The best Weipa fishing charters in town. Our mothership the Freedom IV was designed for luxury long range adventure expeditions. She’s got a stable ride and shallow draft, getting us where we need to be. We provide accommodation on the boat, all linen, meals and light refreshments. BYO alcoholic drinks, some non-alcoholic drinks are available on board. Local advice and expertise.
